Hey fishytail, how's it going?
If they're you're own artworks, there are other sites you could try, I'm an artist / potter myself and I've always felt general auction sites aren't the best place for original art really. Try a specialist art auction house, there are some for self-promoting artists.
Best of luck

Ooh, don't give up! I'm an artist and a potter (have you ever bought a kiln???? and the electric bills are SCARY http://wrestler.ebid.co.uk/community/images/smilies/eek.gif )
I haven't hardly sold a thing (mind you, I haven't really tried too much yet.) Got to set up proper workshop (shed) first. But hey, we're not in it for the money, now, are we!!!!!!!! It would be nice though!

I have an online dedicated art auction website for sale on ebid - http://uk.three.ebid.tv/perl/auction.cgi?auction=1110122597-5298-0&mo=auction
this might interest you, a chance to use it for your own auctions, and maybe make money from others?
Cheers

Hi
As well as the odd auction on Ebid I have an online gift shop. I sell items on a dropship basis, that is I advertise them, then when they sell I arrange with the supplier to despatch the item direct to the customer. This means I do not have to hold stock and can keep my prices lower.
I would be happy to sell your paintings for you, as long as we could agree a suitable commission for each sale, the price you sell for would need to include postage, and as it is not an auction you would need to accept returns within 7 days due to the distance selling regs.
The site is www.helshop.co.uk (has been down today as problem with hosting company) but as soon as it comes back up have a look and see what you think. It costs you nothing unless you sell something and I will be very realistic about commission. We all need a helping hand to get us up and running.
Kind Regards
Helen
