tidal wave in thailand

Does Gaz live near the coast in thailand? thers been a tidal wave there and surrounding areas..

Saw the news this morning.. :(

A huge earthquake has triggered surging sea waters across a wide area of south
and east Asia, swamping villages and killing more than 500 people.

More than 400 people died in Sri Lanka and at least 150 were killed in India.

Deaths have also been reported in coastal Thailand and on the Indonesian island
of Sumatra, believed to be near the centre of the powerful tremor.

The earthquake had a magnitude of 8.9, making it the biggest in 40 years and
the fifth strongest since 1900.

My Son went to Goa yesterday

had to Google to find where it was, luckily he is on the other side of India to

where the Tidal Wave came ashore.

Life continues here - no drama no fuss way up here in the mountains, but concerned about the severe lack of news from Burma - if you check the map, you'll see the tsunami HAD to severely devastate the Burmese coastlands on a par with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh - plus the country's two major river delta face directly at the epi-centre, so it's possible Rangoon and Pegu got wiped off the map because of the geography.

Really ****ed at BBC for covering news from every other country but nothing at all from there.
