Hi Gary & Mark,
I am in need of the Buy It Now :!: only listings which have the quantity/number available facility - I don't like dutch because buyers don't understand it, and Buy It Now :!: is so much easier...I want and need this because I have 100's of items, alot of them same...please, please look into this :!: :!: :!: :|
Cheers, Andy

Andy, this is an auction site, not exchange and mart.
A lot of people are complaining about the number of multiple BINs
Personally, I just ignore them.

Let me rephrase this -
I would like to list say 100 items in *one* listing, so the buyer could have a choice of buying however many they wanted in one go. Whether that be 1, 5, or 100.
I dislike seeing rows and rows of listings for the same item, so I agree with you there :)
And having a 10 day running multiple quantity listing, I am likely to sell more than if I have a single item listing which I have to relist every time it is bought.
A good idea would be to have a separate auction catagory for BIN only listings and in a search buyers would have the option in including this in their normal auction searches... :?:

I thought I'd add this in even if didn't need to - Even though this is seen as an auction (bidding) site, it's really a marketplace where you sell whether you bid or buy. Thats what the title suggests anyway, so having BIN in the dutch auctions (as Gary said there will be soon)...that's goo enough for me :D - Thanks!

I'm with you Molten, I need the same for my fridge magnets. I don't want to fill the site with multiple auctions, just multiple BIN's. Like eBay only free! 8)

We are programming this at this exact moment... You will still have to start the auction as dutch, but there will be the option to add a buynow price
Here are my exact programming notes to myself........
"a user starts a dutch auction with a quantity of 10
1 product is purchased via buynow, the aucton is then reduced to 9 auctions
buynow option stays available until there are enough bids to sell all the items via auction
eg. an auction starts with 10 items
there are 9 bidders each bidding for 1 item, leaving 1 remaining, buynow is available here
then another bidder bids for the last item, buynow will now disappear becase all items are taken up...."
Hope this is ok for all

Now, I like the sound of that Gazza,
Very sexy!
It'll keep MustardTree happy 'cos it's still an auction, and keep us happy 'cos it has a BIN option.
:O)
