Hi,

With the amount of mistakes I make, would it be possible to have an edit button on active auction pages that have no bids please?

Gillian :)

Sorry, could I rephrase that. it's mainly having an edit on the text and not just the add to discription button at the bottom.

Gillian.

Could I suggest a little longer time proof reading, and possibly a spell checker.

#2 Ouch! True; but even self-confessed pedants [like me], have been known to make mistakes [and being a pedant; really do like to put them right!]

mustardtree,

Thank you for your reply, but I wasn't asking for advice, I was making a suggestion. Next time I need help and want a caustic answer I will be sure to come to you.

The E-Bay method of being able to Edit your Auction Description, is a great feature and I wish it could be implemented here!

Sometimes you discover Info that needs to be actually Changed in the Description Not just Added to.

Or you could have Payment Logos or other, linking to addresses that have changed, and need to be Deleted and Re-entered.
The Add Text Box is not sufficient for this.

At present the only alternative is to Delete the Auction Listing, and Re-list!
It would be a lot easier to "Edit The Description", as long as No Bids have been made.

Have any of you used the edit/delete facility successfully yet?

Whenever I've tried, it won't let me click the OK/finish button.

Are you accessing via - myeBid - Auctions I'm Selling - Select listing to edit - Update/Delete - Make Changes, - and finally press the - Save Changes button? This is working OK for me.

Ive just tried that and you can only ADD to description already there, so if mistakes are made they cant be amended.

And Opaquia, I agree with you on both counts

Yes.. I mentioned this in my earlier post that it would be a lot better if they implemented the same method as E-Bays, Edit Description, here.

That was definitely the way I was going about it (or trying). The 'save changes' button doesn't do a buggering thing when I click it.

The buttons dont work when you have a <form> tag that hasnt been closed properly

make sure you add an </form> tag for every <form> tag you are using..

Hi gazza it good to see that you take the time to browse the Forums answering questions where you can, Thanks.

Would it be possible to address the original question here, posed by opaquia

Another Problem solved ..It works Now!

From: Edit Auction Page

Auctions with zero bids are able to have all aspects changed. Auctions with 1 or more bids can only have a few fields changed.

Thanks, G&M
