I've answered you in a new thread Jay because I didn't think it would be right to fool around in the other thread given the subject matter.

hope u guna ask fer sponsor..........n ill even buy u sun bloc:p

sumat id like to do mesen..............but i dunt think the chariot cud handle the moor:p

lol, shurrup!, I've got some sun block now. After the last walk and me ending up glowing in the dark I decided to invest in some. lol

For non-Facebookers this is what I looked like after a 14 mile walk a couple of weeks ago. The sun caught me by surprise, it was the first day that we had had really strong sunshine.

But I've had my thinking cap on and I won't get caught out next time, I've prepared myself.

lol, a bloody mess innit.

I'm a nice brown now though. :)

It wasn't that sunny when we set off in the morning, but it got a lot stronger and we were out over eight hours in it. :o

But at least I got a few nice photos while I was out, Click Here (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=85090&id=732738449&l=7052fd268c) if you want a nosey at them.

I'll be training and properly prepared for the HACK walk though because it is a tough 25 miles over some rough terrain and there is a 12 hours time limit to complete the walk, although I'd like to complete it sooner if I can.

Had a brief thought of putting up a photo to kind of go with the war wounds on the thread about Huddy falling down the stairs, Becky falling off the ladder and wyocowgirl being mashed by her horse. I had surgery on my nose a couple years ago due to skin cancer. It made a horrible looking stitched up wound (all healed up now) but thought better of posting the picture.

Let's just say hats, long sleeves and fingerless UV protection mitts are our friends. Suncreen only as a last resort as it's so suffocating feeling. UV rays get to you as much on cloudy days as sunny ones. Learn to appreciate being Easter lily white; better than saying dead fish belly white.

It sounds like KT is populated by quite a few clumsy folk. lol

Glad yours healed up okay lass.

I'll be properly prepared for the charity walk, it's not a walk that you take any chances on. The walk is in the Yorkshire Dales and includes a lot of moorland and two of the three peaks and is 25 miles long.

As you can see it's not for the faint hearted or unprepared. lol

Yorkie, as a tog myself I would suggest you invest in a floppy hat. They look a bit silly but they do the job in keeping the sun off; and don't get in the way like baseball caps do when taking photos.

Also I have found Aloe Vera to be very good for after-sun care it is quite soothing. I'd not heard of it myself untill I went to Barbados but have used it ever since.

Good luck with the walk.
