I don't know if eBid.net has a way to report fraud or suspicion of fraud, so I will just post it here.
This guy, saugustine17504 was selling a Philips DVD Recorder model DVDR3575H. I took interest on this item. One person prior to myself asked the guy if the item was indeed new (as he or she advertised), to which the seller did not reply directly.
A second user came and posted in the Q&A section requesting the seller to please remove one item from his shopping cart because he had one too many items in it. The seller's response was: Go to w w w.shopvera.com and buy there.
At this point, I personally visited shopvera.com only to find out the item was not listed anywhere. I then used Google and found the product page. When opening it, the item was not in stock, but the most important fact was that the item was RECONDITIONED, not new.
Because of this difference, I requested via ebid.net's Q&A section confirmation on the item's condition. I got no reply and instead the seller (I think) closed the auction without replying to my question. The auction was supposed to run until sold, and the guy still had 19 items to go.
I don't have any proof of fraud, but to me, saying that an item is NEW when it is not is as bad as stealing. I thought I should post a warning here for everybody's benefit.
