If you list a free auction (BIN) and ask a Mate or use a second User ID to Buy (Then no money changes hands but you win the buddy points??? which can buy you Nice things! This is what I was trying to say and is so open to abuse?

Wouldn't your mate / partner / invisible friend have to "buy" a huge amount of stuff in order to accrue sufficient points to get something more impressive than a biro? And one person "buying" a couple of dozen iphones a day from the same person is likely to ring a few alarm bells, surely?

I thought buddy points were to be spent on ebid merchandise? That would seem to be a great deal of trouble to go to to gain an ebid cap!!

I think you missed the buddy point hoo-harr of a few years ago when innocent people where accused of abusing the buddy system. The boyz then introduced the new system with drastically reduced points. I think if someone suddenly started gaining loads of points they would be investigated immediately.

I gained a lot of buddy points a few months ago when I asked all the people on a Millwall forum to sign up with my link, and a few of them now buy the odd thing on here :)

I'm just surprised a Millwall fan knows how to work a computer.
