Two recycle ideas I have had.

1) my Carpet cleaner blew up (Motor) Now I kno I could have brought a New Motor but I felt I needed a replacement so I purchased a Refurbished machine and then had the idea of Why dont I phone them and ask tthem to collect the old one so they can refurbish it....Oh no we cant do that So it goes to the tip...
2) Recycle bins should be made to be the same colours Country wide and Manufactureres then Forced to Colour code (Those little recycle labels) so everything then goes in the correct bins. Different plastics can easily be sorted this way.

That's cos the goverment and local councils are only making noises about recycling and NON have any commonsense
Our council can only recycle plastic in bottle shapes...so all other plastic shapes go to landfill still
It would appear now that it is too expensive to recycle so after we have been fined for not doing it right at our end or we have spent time to sort our rubbish it's all being lumped together and dumped..... That's right... In a land fill

I went to the tip yesterday to recycle over 3000 catalogues.
I was told that they would have to classify it as trade waste and as such could not accept it.
So I had to look up a trade recycler.
Took them to him and got paid £10.

We have just recieved another Wheelie Bin.
So now we have
A black one for general rubbish.
A green one for garden waste and clean cardboard.
A purple one for glass, plastic, cans, plastic containers, yogurt cartons.
A white sack for paper.
when will it end?
I am running out of garden space.

An after thought. Usually I have 2-4 Black Bags whenecer she coms home.. The Council refuse to take the bags !!! They only will take the remains if there in the re -cycling Box . We need about 9 of these to cope with it all !!!

I had to get a new bed as my old one broke, I put it on the internet recycle and listed it as king size bed, base needs attention, and had so many people ask for it I couldn't believe it, it went the same day. I also put on a paper shredder listed it as broken and that went the same day, you would be surprised at the amount of people who will take broken things so they can fix them or use parts from them, I think it's absolutely brilliant :D

That is why I keep my bins next to the front door. One each side. :D
