Smiffy just put the banner image into your user CP then highlight it so it turns blue. Then click on the little globe/world icon on the tool bar above, put your shop URL in there, and that will link your shop to the banner. :)

Depends on the picture and what software you use. I use photoshop, and for your picture I just created 3 layers with stars in, then animated them in 3 frames :)

LOL i'm still looking for a photo shop with stuff that does these things. I'm now going to search on google, cause my photoshop hasn't got these extra's

LOL Jane!

Open your avatar in photoshop. Make sure your view shows the layers (press F7 if you can't see them). Add a new layer, select the brush tool and use brush number 49 (its in the Basic Brushes set - you may have to load these in from the brush menu).
Change the colour to white and dab stars (brush 49) over the layer.
Repeat twice more (create 2 more layers like this), making sure the stars are in different places each time.

Now from the Window tool bar, select Animation. Add 3 frames. Each frame should have the base picture selected (this will be your original avatar layer), then on frame 1 select the star layer 1, frame 2 select the star layer 2 etc. Change the speed of the layers to 0.2 sec or what ever takes your fancy.

To save, select Save for Web & Devices from the File menu - make sure the size doesnt exceed 10kb - you will have to play with the settings here if it does to reduce it down, and when happy click save to great your .gif file.
