It's difficult knowing what to do these days, what with all the talk of global recession, so it's perhaps time to take stock of what is most important to you, as an individual, and stick to any resolutions you may have made. For savers losing out on interest this could be a good time to start trading online to generate extra income, compensate for that loss of bank interest, or perhaps start checking out investments in art (http://uk.three.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=category&categoryid=101) or antiques (http://uk.three.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=category&categoryid=21) as a way of beating inflation. You never know what bargains can be picked up on eBid online auctions! For those finding themselves cash-strapped, now is a fine time to clutter and earn extra cash from anything, no matter how bizarre (http://uk.three.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=subcategory&categoryid=2305), that's surplus to your personal requirement. For us, the general chatter over the festive season has included such subjects as cottage industries, DIY (http://uk.ten.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=subcategory&categoryid=1411), crafts & sewing (http://uk.ten.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=category&categoryid=8), home cooking, energy efficiency, heating (http://uk.nine.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&categoryid=1403&mo=subcategory) and fuel prices. Home brewing or wine making (http://uk.nine.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?go=1&mo=search&category=&type=keyword&words=wine+making&categoryid=) is another hot topic at the moment, as are gardens (http://uk.nine.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=subcategory&categoryid=1377), allotments and poultry keeping (http://uk.three.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&words=poultry&category2=10&categoryid=10&categoryonly=on&mo=search&type=keyword). Don't forget to keep the emergency supplies topped up in case of power cuts! Torches, candles, lighters, gas stoves and even barbecues and charcoal. An impromptu BBQ is better than no dinner when the power's out! Of course, if you're on the opposite side of the world from the UK, sun lotions (http://uk.ten.ebid.net/perl/main.cgi?type1=a&type2=a&mo=subcategory&categoryid=2740) may be more what you need right now.

Intersting how the january newsletter is out of date / wrongly worded in relation to the competition for the 2 millionth listing which was won by Huddylion. I think huddy will know the answer LOL

The newsletter was in our email this morning. And we got a mention, just for sending a thank you note. :)

Gazza has a post out that there's a typo. The competition question should be for the 3,000,000 mark, not 2,000,000 as stated in the newsletter.
