suppose they class it as

poor advertising of the site

I did say it was equally poor on the other side!

i seeeeeeeeeee....well..i suppose they wouldnt want it picked up on a search thingy...or newbies seeing it..or a full scale "me too" response...or not..:D

For me there wasn't any change either way. I am just making use of the other today, that might lure someone across - I hope

Sales for me held up well on the other side, and I've had 2 sales on here since last night. Bit of a shock, but very welcome :D

there is this false sense of security - that nothing ever sells:D:D

It is becomiong an increasing concern that the listing numbers keep being depleted by people who have the sheer audacity to buy things on here. I mean what the heck do they think they are playing at, we all know nothing sells on here. :D

I noticed you said that

Makes it even sillier for the thread to disappear:confused:

well if "they" pull threads that they dont like for telling the truth maybe we should just answer all the questions we help with with "contact support and they will help you" and let them get on with it for a month

I had great hopes for December 2008 here. These hopes have been carefully packed away now and will be freshened in December 2009.

I didn't see it at all, but I do know there's a rule in the posting FAQ about not posting anything derogatory about the site, or anything that could damage ebid's image in any way. Perhaps somebody felt it qualified?

Just because the truth's a defence in the libel courts, doesn't mean it applies everywhere. ;) :D

I didn't see the thread at all but if promotions run by a site that eBid is in direct comptition with were advertised then that is why it would have been pulled.

Not much of a promotion though

Cheap listings and OTT fees and a loss over there VS free listings and a profit over here (for me, anyway)

No contest:D
