We have a number of eBid banners located on Motorways in the UK.
We are on the look out for more locations.
If anyone knows of a good location (good visible display location and substantial traffic passing) and is able to get the contact details of the Banner sponsors can they forward to us at eBid support.
Much appreciated.
Mark
Ho Hum told you so http://helpdesk.ebid.net/showthread.php?t=113296

Motorway advertising is still not allowed - even banners hung on trailers in fields need special permission.

Not really sure by the meaning Motorway banners!
Are we talking about across the tops of Bridges? At the side of the Motorway or MORE Then LIKELY At the START/ENd Of Motorways? Probally NOT the best place to put any billboard anyway as If you Hit the Motorway Say at the start of the M1 Your going be driving for 60-70 (Dont get Finicky) miles before stopping! So by then you've forgotten about EBid!
Best on Main Roundabouts or Junctions in My Opinion!

No point in advertising an unstable site.
Who says this site is 'unstable'? The horse hasn't left!
I might well be unstable - but not the site. There's more happening out there in the internet than we are privy to. Major sites are getting hacked, ISP's getting compromised, spam clogging the system, etc. Ebid does get sporadic glitches from time to time but that's not always down to the site's operators. And when glitches do occur, eBid's techies work through the night to fix them as quick as they can.
And whilst we consider Motorway banners - what about someone designing Magnetic Banners that can be offered to members to place on their vans (large) or cars (small)?

Ok - let me put it this way.
Over the past 2 or 3 weeks - I would estimate that on 50% of the times I have tried to access ''My Ebid'' - I get a time out error.
This does not happen when I access my a/cs on other similar sites.
So as far as I am concerned - ebid is unstable at the momentin comparison to other sites I frequent.
Even listing in the past half hour - it took 5 attempts to list an image without getting time outs.
Magnetic vehicle signs are already listed on ebid.

Me!
The horse hasn't left!
No, but it definitely comes out and wanders about the yard occasionally. :D
The site *is* unstable IMO. Not hugely, not unbearably, but enough that I warn people when telling them about the place. Then if there's a hiccough they're not dismayed and rush off, they just think "okay, I was warned" and try later. If there are likely to be problems it's much better to be honest about it and tune people's expectations.

Surely a good place for advertising ebid would be wherever there are lot of traffic jams where people have nothing to do but look at signs and read them !

When I get stuck in traffic jams I get to admire the graffiti on the underpasses - they ought to get some ebid artists on the job.

Havent seen any banners down our end, but if you want more people to see you I would suggest the M1 motorway from junction 10 to junction 5 whilst theyre still rebuilding, have you seen the traffic jams there rofl

I wish there'd been some on the M56 when Mr. (part-time) e_nviable and I were stuck for 2 1/2 hours on there at the start of our holiday .
Luckily, I was driving Sally Smart so everyone passing or stuck at the side of me got a great view of the eBid advertising and some even took photographs ! :D
