what does a line thought the ebid user name mean and what does it do

It means the user is suspended.......it could be permanent, or it could be temporary while their account is under review.

Hi

If they are a forum member......you can send them a private message (your notifications, top right)

or

If they are a seller as well, you can "ask a question" on an auction (they can temporarily blackball you to get rid of the question ;) )
