I know the jackpot is an insane amount! I heard that it can't roll over anymore- which means the lower prizes will be worth more too!

Me and my girlfriend won a tenner on last saturdays lotto so we are gonna use all of that for tonight (and maybe a bit more!)

As what I would do with that? Well pay off my debts, my girlfriends- buy us a decent house and go on a massive holdaiy one with friends and families and then maybe... donate some to charity and er stufff like that! :)

Oh, it's easy.. buy the house across the road to get rid of my noisy neighbour... Actually, I wouldn't stay but I could afford to sell it on at a loss so my current, nice neighbours wouldn't hate me after I had moved out into a a nice house in its own grounds where I would not be able to hear any noisy neighbours except perhaps the odd bird.

Simple

I would buy eBid

Then sack Rednosty

But in all seriousness, I would not know what to do with it. I don't think I would be able to spend that much.

So I would probably put £15 million for each kid in a trust fund, So thats 45 gone. Then give my mum and dad £10 million & a really big house. Brother & sister would get about 2 million each.

So I have spent 60 million. Leaving 40 million to spend on eBid

100 Million - sounds like a really big pipe dream - Can't say I've given it any thought...

but if we were lucky enough to win, I'd be a perpetual student - study everything that I've always wanted to do - archeology, egyptogoly, ancient architecture, paleontology and other topics along the same lines, then I'd pay my entry onto loads of historical digs. When I got bored with that, I'd learn how to swim, & deep sea dive, then I'd pay my entry onto a few marine research vessels to be able to swim with the hump back whale. When I got bored with that, I'd buy a huge big winnibago type camper, pack a few things into a case, and just travel wherever I wanted.

... No definitely haven't given it any thought at all.

Do you just collect them, or can you repair them too?
There is a sensible reason for asking.

Buy a very very big house and staff to go with it. Set up an endowment fund so the said big house and staff will never be taken away. Set up a trust fund for daughter. Set up trusts and income for as many family members that bothered to stay in touch with me, with mortgage payoffs and lump sums.

Having done all that, sit around setting up a foundation for giving help to those who need it - direct help to smaller and struggling local charities who get overlooked because they aren't fashionable or rich enough to have large PR departments. I think I could probably get rid of most of it in quite a short time.

Yes it would change my life, and hopefully that of a lot of other people too.

I'd buy

Murrayfield ice rink and upgrade it, put a starbucks in the foyer with free latte for all parents of skating children who stand freezing at the ride of the rink day after day!
A bigger house, and employ a gardener, cleaner and someone to do the ironing!
A convertable car (closest i've been is a sunroof)
A motor home for touring
A holiday home somewhere warm
A really big TV to hand on my livingroom wall so I can watch Doctor Who lifesize!
A tardis for my daughter to play in
Consider lazer eye surgery
Pay for my dads ongoing operations

A trip to Vancouver winter Olympics 2010
Offer ebid £1 million to improve it's processes and infastructure- (including pppay) in exchange for a 5% share of the company
Book myself one of those 'makeover' experiences where i disappear for 6 weeks and come back a goddess :D
Apart from that i haven't really thought about it!

Buy houses for my daughters.
Buy houses for my 3 sisters if they wished.
Possibly buy a villa on C.del Sol with staff.
Check into a proper medical clinic and get myself totally sorted - back, knees, teeth, head etc - and stay there until I was better.
Buy a small ranch-type house somewhere, with staff and chauffeur
Keep a Winnibago
Go on a cruise with my family.

Buy a few friends.

Pay everybody I know's mortgages and loans, buy a fabulous house, then set up a trust helping small business get set up - people like us trying to make a living, individuals with a good idea an no capital to start. I'd also pump some into providing low-cost housing for local people - no particular version of "local", just anybody who's being priced out of their own village by holiday home owning fat cats who visit once a year! I'd buy holiday homes and rent them back to local workers to actually live in.

Oh, and buy a really nice vintage production saloon and take it to Goodwood next year. :D

I would tell EVERY bank manager.

I wonder how many offers I would get.

I think Paul would do as he has always said. That is go down to the Porsche or Ferrari dealer in the scruffiest cloths he can find, and see how they treat him.

First I'd have to pay about 35 million in taxes. Then I'd have to figure out how to give a bunch to my kids and siblings and other relatives without having to pay another 3 or 4 million in gift taxes.

I'd give a lot of it to my favorite three charities.

Only change for me personally, I'd buy a bigger home in this same neighborhood, let the family use this one as a vacation/weekend getaway (I'm one mile from the ocean).

Then I might decide to keep some of the things I have listed here because I'd have room for them!

And I wouldn't tell anyone except my family and closest friends.

I would spend the rest of my life writing computer games (I am programmer and I have always wanted to do this), studying (keep up with the latest programming languages etc), helping the starving millions (so I can do something worthwhile) and doing just I pleased (for me). I would not spend it on lavish things for me, because I don't need them. Big houses, cars, holidays all cause stress, I would want to be stress free and feel I have done something useful with the money (and my remaining time)..... apart from a bit more land to keep my pets on.

I really love my job, and my bosses (my "resource" is currently shared between two people because that was the only way they could find enough budget to keep me) are the best I have ever had, there is no way I'd just dump them, they're worth far more than that.

I also forgot to buy a lottery ticket, lol.

Mind you, someone once said that to put it into perspective, winning the lottery was like having all the lottery tickets stacked around the M25 (because apparently when the jackpot is that large, enough tickets get bought to go right round it) and someone travelling at random picking one up.

100 Million........................................... ...

* Clear out all of my debts & the debts of my children

* Set up diversified investment trust funds with 25 Million of the funds

*Use 20 Million to fund/expand my current business activities which include
a non-profit company helping youth & young adults start there own business;
a C-Corp business that offers mortgage reduction/elimination services; an LLC
that offers creative ways of acquiring & managing real estate; e-commerce
and expansion into other business ventures.

*Attempt to structure my business activities in such a manner that I could greatly reduce or almost eliminate any tax burdon from the wind fall funds using creative tax strategies and estate planning. This would have to factor in for approximately 35 million dollars. Would seek to use a combination of tax write-offs, credits, business incentives, estate planning, etc.

*10 Million donated to charities addressing war on poverty through empowerment initiatives; and hiv health care & social services in impoverished areas.

*10 Million for personal spending account: to build a reasonably gorgeous home that is energy efficient and technologically functional to operate my business networks from; to purchase a few luxury cars; travel; and have some pocket change.

Gee! 100 Million not as much as you think it is. It's all relative.

Invest the capital, and do all the things I'd always wanted to do with the interest. I'd help charities and churches who help feed the starving and abused, buy a nice house, give my parents and family lots of money, help out friends, travel the world, study, learn languages - do lots of courses, always wanted to go to drama school. I'd also like a set of flashy pearly whites like Danni Minogue's. Last but not least, Give EBid some advertising money!!
