Yeah know plenty of people who have been doing this…you just phone them up every so often, tell them you are leaving and they’ll throw in a freebie or reduce your bills for 6 months!
They’re obviously way overcharging but how many people realise they can get the discounts…mmm that’s where they’re making loads of profit, you think you’re getting a bargain, all the time they’re scamming their customers…
Why don’t they just reduce everyone’s fees, make everyone’s life simpler eh?

Blessings

My connection went to pot when they merged with NTL.

I joined NTL cable to get away from the idiots at Virgin. About a month after that NTL become Virgin Media. The Gods sure do hate me. I have had no trouble with NTL/Virgin at all as an ISP.

The original post is very true. I got my monthly bill cut by almost 50% for a year after I called to complain about the disparity between what I was paying and what was being offered to new customers online. After that it goes up by a couple of pounds but nowhere near back to what it was. The nice lady who did it for me told me that they have lots of incentives (different to any online offers) available to them to keep customers. They are not allowed to offer them though unless a customer calls and asks, or as a last ditch effort to stop a customer leaving. She advised that I should ring up every so often and ask what they could do for me today.

So the thread title 'if u dont ask u dont get' is very apt in this case.
