I am FeeBay Free! I got my cancellation confirmation today. Which means I have been here for 3 months! :)
Now, if only people would buy more from me... (shop on hiatus, more coming Saturday). :(

Hi, congratulations on your escape! ;)
People might be more inclined to buy from you if you have a pretty signature in your forum posts advertising your stuff!

Welcome! It is cheaper, but my sales are WAAAAAAY down. I am hoping it is an economic issue, not the site!

I list in rotations centre7. I just did a bulk listing last week of everything (with no success). I'll be rotating for 2 months. Then whatever is left is going to the local charity. I'd rather sell the items on here as the charity shops tend to throw things out.

Dead right they do I was once in one in North Wales and someone dropped off boxes of crockery, Quite a few boxes and when he had gone they just glanced in them and said more dishes, went outside and just threw them in the bin without even checking to see what each piece was or what was underneath the top stuff, won't say what the shop was as i dont want to stop people taking stuff but it wasn't for humans:(

Having seen the mess they are making of the new listing template over there I think a lot more will be along shortly.

I couldn't believe my eyes, I just stood there with my mouth open, surley one of them could have done a car boot with it to raise some more money, I have also heard them refuse clothes off someone, she brought in two bags and went out to the car for more got back to the door and they said is it more clothes because we don't want anymore we have enough.

I've had the same experiences here with charity shops. Now, what doesn't sell online goes to the tip. I'm not carrying several (often heavy) bags or boxes, only to be told to take them away again.

The guys at my local tip have "punting rights". They go through everything and if they find anything they may be able to sell, they'll take it out. Assuming that they are on the lowest pay scale; I'd say "good luck to them" and I am glad to be rid of the stuff in the knowledge that if I do get rid of something with a resale value, it will be realized.

put it on feecycle instead of charity shops, saves alot of hassel for charity shops and at least you know its going to a good home, somes treasure is someones trash....or something like that.
I gave away recently loads of baby stuff..car seats, pram, bouncer, moses basket clothes etc etc and ladies clothes and sooo much more,to diffrent people but I did get a large trampoline with net from someone and lots of other items so I do belive in you get what you give in life and I have give away loads!!! but it feels good.
Anyway back to the point............WELL DONE OP........you escaped, a big wave from me. sales are picking up at a fast speed so get listing!!

probably shouldn say this but I have bought some good stuff from our local tip and made good money on it..... in fact I try not to let maple go there on her own as she tends to come back with more than she took :D

Why would it make a difference what pay scale they are on?
A lot of the people who sell things this way, make a good living out of it= or do you mean the people who work at the tip?
Our tip is now called a re-cycling centre and people can apply to the council for a licence to go through the dumped stuff. They pay for the licence and they do this as a job.
