How do I word an email to my "dark side" shop subscribers without falling foul of their rules?
Can I put my ebid url in the email without it being picked by them?
I did send one yesterday but it failed - from experience that is the norm - it usually takes 3 or 4 goes before it works.
Any clever ways of wording it would be welcome.

Hi fudgeheaven! Visited your store...very nice!! One thing I thought I'd mention, however, is your listing is wider than the area allowed, so all the wording on the right side of your template is partially hidden. I think if you change the overall width of your template that will go away and it will look absolutely grand then...just a thot!

I have been sending end of item emails on the dark side with the url for my shop here for 3 years now, fudgie.
However, the word "ebid" bounces anything sent through the message to e**y member button on there. I just put e b i d in which works instead.

Just use direct email, always store YOUR customer emails on your own PC somewhere. Part of good business practice is maintaining records.

Got all my previous customers email addresses.
There's always a heated arguement on the PS board as
to whether emailing previous customers is considered spamming.

I don't think it would be harmful to send buyers you're dealing with now an email just to say something like
"Please take a look at my ebid store too, on ebid.net.... for more great items being sold by me"
I am sure the buyer wouldn't think you were spamming and if they were interested they would take a look.
But I am not sure I would wish to email past buyers, just current buyers perhaps?

As long as you don't continually email them, I wouldn't object to an email from someone I had previous dealings with provided they didn't abuse the privilege.

Got no current buyers over there.
I do have 200 shop subscribers though.

Last week I emailed 1200 customers from the other side.
I kept all their email addresses.
Sent them out in blocks of 50.
Just address the email to one person and BCC the other 49.
I also use seller manager pro over there.
All my automated emails are set up to point to ebid.
give it a go, you have nothing to lose.
