I was wanting to get rid of my thread in Plug Your Auction so I could start another one. Instead of deleting it I closed it. Now is there a way to delete it of is this good enough?

I think you'll need to delete it rather than just close it.Closing it means it's still visible,so if you start another then you would have two.:)

You need to open it again and then delete it. I've made the same mistake!

If you go into your thread, at the bottom of all your posts there is the option to edit. Click the edit button and choose delete. If you delete the first post the whole thread goes.

But can you still do that if the thread is closed?

Sure can - probably have to unlock it first though.

Thanks, I was trying to delete it without reopening it. It really was simple once you told me what to do!
