Hi, all how are you? so what can i say, im currently a powerseller on EBay, and since they thought it was a good idea to introduce the seller not allowed to leave negs or neuts, and put on a crappy search everyone is complaining, there are masses of EBay powersellers making thier way over here, theres actually a 5 page thread on it on the powerseller discussion forum about it, and the amount of people making the move or planning to is unreal, pretty much all the pages are people saying they're going to move or asking about EBid etc
hopefully there should be alot more to choose from with alot more buyers, personally i've just got my first cd on here and have listed, aswell as included a crafty link on the EBay auction to the EBid one offering the product at a lower price!
I really hope you execs don't bend us over like EBay did for making your business a success!

:D Hi Jon, A warm welcome to eBid. I made the move across at the end of February. Was only a small bronze power seller but every listing helps here to make Ebid flourish and prosper ! The choice of items here has got much better over the last few months. With the new search system over there mucking things up yet again I hope the buyers will soon be flocking across!
When you have settled in put a signature link to your listings so everybody can have a nose. This thread will help you.

Welcome Jon
Another refugee here and yes you are right. Although my sales havenot been galloping in yet I have noticed the numbers of people viewing my items more than doubling in number since I started listing 3 weeks ago.
You are right, this is a much better proposition and everyone is sooo friendly and helpful.
I hope we see you and everyone else going from strength to strength.
What is so wonderful here is the sense of freedom and optimism.....I am really enjoying selling again.... even listing has become less of a chore.
So once again welcome and here's to a bright future.

Hello Jon & Welcome to Ebid.
I've only moved here 3 weeks ago, The people are Terrific here, great advice and they answer your questions and concerns within the hour. I'm working on building my store from the bottom again but see great potential in this site and those who run it.
I have a lot to learn but at least I know I'm not alone and their is so much information and step by step instructions that i'm sure it will all come together.
Again Welcome and Best Regards

Hi Jon and welcome.
I moved across about a month ago and have been busy learning the site and getting my store and listings started.
I will be emailing my feebay customer base in the next week or so. I think as soon as we start converting our customer bases to EBID the cracks will really start showing at that other place. We built it, we can boll*cks 'em up.

Hi Jon and welcome, as already suggested there are plenty of tips about selling on here, overcoming the zero feedback is the first problem, buying a few things can get you kick started. Also fill in some info about yourself on your About Me page, I know this is probably trying to tell granny to suck eggs, but it can get overlooked. Any problems just shout.

I read a funny thread on the other side a little while back, someone was promoting eBid and the feebay possy squad were straight on the thread as usual, saying are they still buying off each other over there, or something to that effect, and generally making out that nothing sells.
Just made me laugh! What exactly do they do over there? Buy off each other by any chance! Durrr

Hi Jon! Welcome to the family! Our motto is: There is no such thing as a stupid question, so feel free to ask all you want, there is always someone here to help you out. We are a persistent lot and genuinely want everyone to succeed here. The more sellers that join, the more items we have available, the more buyers will come. And as you've already noticed, even the site's owners pitch in at times. If you have any serious concerns that you feel can't be resolved on the forums then just contact support@ebid.net and they will do their best to help you out (yes, you read correctly, they are real people with real responses, no canned carp). Also remember, sellers are buyers and buyers are sellers :D

Hello Jon and welcome to eBid :D
Lots of good advice on these forums. There is a whole section on promoting your listings. Sales have picked up here and that is due to lots of buyers coming over, from ex-feepayers customer lists. So list loads, set up your pitch and email all your feepay customers. Make an offer of cheaper items over here, you can't fail.
Gazza: thank you :D We all like a nice friendly forum, presents a positive image. That is something we all like about eBid.

Hi Jon
Welcome to eBid - although it looks like I am a little late, as many got there before me.
I was on the Dark side today :o :o :o (Sorry but couldn't find what I wanted here!) and I was checking out peoples feedback before I bid and Boy 'o' Boy is there a lot of negs being left. One chap had 52 negatives last month alone!

26th June 2008, 09:55 PM
exactly! thats why people aren't happy, and what makes it worse is EBay arn't listening to all the complaints! well they are, but on the powerseller board, they're avoiding it:rolleyes:

Trouble is you just don't know if the buyers who are leaving the feedback are really telling the truth or porkies, I must admit it put me off bidding on their items as I wasn't sure if I would lose my money or not.
The star system didn't seem to show that this particular seller was that bad - but the feedback was terrible.
PCPO
26th June 2008, 10:07 PM
too true, i really don't know what they were thinking when they introduced the whole sellers can only leave positive or no feedback, they must have drank some strong stuff, personally i only had 1 neutral the whole time i was on there, in the last month i've had two neutrals and one negative, but my star rating is equal to or in some cases well above EBay average:eek: but until they fix it people will either lose thier status or get so much bad feedback they wont sell anything and will just come here, the rest will just get annoyed at EBay and leave, i don't think EBay are aware of how many people will be lost in such a short time until they're monthly profits are worked out;)
