I think it's ridiculous saying how you must accept payment. As long as you pay their fees, you have a right to make the rules as long as you don't do anything against the buyer.

It's like a shop having a lease/tenancy and being told under the tenancy agreement "you can only accept Visa or Mastercard".

It makes having items collected totally unviable. Which means you can no longer sell furniture and the like.

This is hardly a shock. Many people saw this coming quite some time ago.

Well Amazon enforce their payments system on everyone, I can't see that this is any different to be honest. Is what Amazon is doing illegal as well?

As for 'everything has to be posted by a trackable method...' I wonder how much 2 tons of books would cost to post...

They really have completely lost it.

I believe Paypal is the only method of payment allowed on **ay Australia.

Amazon started out with those rules - they haven't introduced them one by one. Also they have never hidden behind "we are just a venue". I suspect that the legality of it takes second place to the irritation of moving goalposts, yet again!!!!!

If your item is under £36 in value, ordinary mail will suffice as long as you get a COP - which covers you up to that amount.

'Trackable' = recorded delivery.

sad sad very sad....and just wait until they impose the flat rate postage as they have just done in Germany.

How they can still hide behind the just a venue claim is beyond me!

And the worst part is the powers that be have already said that the changes ain't finished yet!

They sold us a dream of self employment and gave us a nightmare
