Now that the description width has been changed,my auctions look awful.
Would some one be good enough to advise how to change them to show better. I have tried amending the 1st one showing (the badges) and it made no difference. Please how do I get them to centerlize with out having to scroll side ways to get the compleat view. Hope this makes sense. Malcolm.

I work out so of the problem was my computer settings.I have changed the resolution from 800x600 pixels to 1024 x 768 pixels. this has improved the look a lot. Still have to center up some descriptions.
Could you look at http://uk.nine.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi?auction=1209133046-8957-1&mo=auction and tell me if the back groun is white or blue. Thanks Malcolm.

Background is white and no offence but the listing looks awful!!
At first I thought that half the description was missing then noticed the scroll bar at the bottom. So I'm only seeing on side of your description at a time :(

Ken, yours look perfect as always.
Are you sure you didn't have prior warning about the change 'cos it sets of your listings beautifully.:D

Most of my descriptions are only one line as well and apart from a couple I also pay the 3p for extra pics. Think the only thing that saves mine is the wordy T&C's but still don't like the change it doesn't flow for my listings.
Do think I'll need to add the t&c's to my phoenysa listings though they are looking really bare and I need something to fill the gap.

Loads better Malcolm, can see it all without having to scroll. :D
Can I make one little suggestion though, the 3 pictures would look better if they were centred instead of aligned left.
You could center the lot and put a separating line between the description and TOS, JMHO ;)

Hi just looked at the chest I listedhttp://uk.ten.ebid.net/perl/auction.cgi/1209547069-26987-1
and on my browser the 1st two photos are along side each over and the third is central under the two.
Is this not how you see them? Sorry to be a pain but struggling here.Malcolm.

No, I see the first 2 alongside each other but aligned left and the 3rd directly underneath the 1st one.
Hold on and I'll get a screen grab so you can see what I mean.

No I didn't have any prior knowledge of the change, I think it was to accomodate a bayer who said he wouldn't come because the width was too narrow. Whilst I appreciate it may be difficult for some I think the wider arrangement will be a help overall. However the layout does look strange now with the different widths as you move down the page. What is really required by sellers is stability and not frequent changes in anything not just layouts, so they know what they have to deal with.

This is a puzzle, If I view via browser every thing line central.I too a screen shot and viewed in office and got the same as you, all to the left. strange. I edit central in wyswyg and it centered up . Next try in hmtl. what i need is the code for central and where abouts to i put it.
Malcolm.

Just before the pics you need to put <center> and then </center> after them to close the command. At least that's the html that I normally use.

Thanks, thought it was just this machine that was seeing things. Strange that Malcolm's browsers shows something different though.
Malcolm have you tried clearing the cache in case your seeing a cached version, or press Ctrl +F5 on the listing page to see the most up-to-date version of the page.
