Hello...and welcome! It's weird because everything I say (type) on ebid I'm paranoid as if I am still on ebay. Anything I have posted on ebid I have not received any mean comments. I can't wait to loose that feeling of choosing my words carefully. Everyone just seems to be friendly over here. Anyway, I am looking for person/s wanting immediate feedback to build their personal customer trust...as I am looking for the same. Not that I would expect you to post FB until you received the item. I had a 550+ FB on ebay and I know you cannot transfer your feedback score and I respect that for all the sellers who have been here (on ebid) for the duration as they deserve the feedback they have established with ebid. RIGHTFULLY SO! I just wanted to let you know that I have several inexpensive items up for sale, mostly jewelry that I purchased at an estate sale (some new, a sterling silver set!), offering for my cost of the item! I am offering FREE SHIPPING on these items as I am reluctant to list my heavy items (no shipping calculator)at this time so I will research further before I list some of my wonderful estate sale finds. Just wanted you to take a look at my items and see if you would be interested in any of these items for yourself or maybe a gift item for someone else. I am used to a padded paypal account but I am now broke. If you have some cheap items please let me know. I am willing to purchase if I can purchase for myself or for a gift. My main purpose now is to gain customer trust and give/receive feedback to get our business up and running! I have so many items that I know would sell on feebay...oops, did I say that? I will wait this ride out! Thanks for your time and good luck on ebid!!

Welcome to eBid, I wish you the best of luck on here, this comes from across the pond at 3.10am http://content.sweetim.com/sim/cpie/emoticons/00020112.gif (http://www.sweetim.com/s.asp?im=gen&ref=10)
I cannot see your items, as I suspect they are not availiable to the UK:(
For promoting stores you need the forum just below this one.
I wish you all the best and why not check out a few stores out of the USA if you have not already done so.

Hi! Thanks for the welcome! I'm just learning..getting my feet wet! I hope to offer my auctions abroad!..did I spell that correctly (abroad)? LOL. I am admitting to being technically challenged so I will take it one step at a time and hopefully do it correctly. Thanks again for your support!

Are you aware that the shipping calculator is coming to the USA very soon? Did you see the March ebid newsletter?

I did! Can't wait for that to happen! It makes it soooo much easier (and honest) for all your customers to know the exact charge that will inquire depending upon the weight of the package. I always include fee delivery confirmation to protect myself and the buyer.

It's just a shame we don't have one in the UK, I use seajays which is very good.
Is google checkout availiable to you in the USA yet?

Hi ellengenerous, I think making your items available worldwide would be a good thing. Just one thing can you break up your posts into some paragraphs, reading a big solid chunk of text is hard on my poor old tired eyeballs :)

Hi!
I'll buy something from you if you would like to reciprocate...I have a mix of higher and lower priced items and I'm in the US as well! Some of my items don't have shipping (if over a pound), but I offer Flat Rate, so if you see something(s) you might like, let me know (and I will do the same) and I'll give you a shipping quote! ;)

Hi Lori,
You have some great items! I am so broke now. Looking to buy $2.00 - $6.00 items including shipping like the advertising I am doing right now. Not looking to making $ yet as I am looking to gain some customer trust. I will plug you into my favorites so when I do make a few dollars (later) I can check back in with you. Thanks for the offer.

In my opinion buying/selling "cheapies" to one another to manipulate feedback figures is out of order and deserves no trust.

Interesting. Because many of us are coming over here from ebay and have lost valuable incomes to start a new venue. I paid my last ebay bill of $281.00 which stripped my paypal account. Most of my items would have already sold on ebay. Offering inexpensive items to gain FB is manipulating? I find that offensive. That is not my intention at all.
I am offering new as well as vintage jewelry, which I do not think of as "cheapies". The items I am offering at the cost in which I purchased with free shipping. Trust is obtained when you sell an item and follow through with great customer satisfaction from start to finish. At least that is one thing I have learned in my over 550 transactions on ebay.
Maybe I am missing something over here. Helping one another get off to a good start deserves no trust? Huh, again, interesting.

kengillam..guess you can't see what I am offering as I am only offering to U.S. customers right now. Having said that..I'm not making any $ off my items but trying to establish customer trust. And yes I have been known to be a big spender but not right now! See post #14/15. Maybe I should start to be paranoid again. Thought more support would be given to newbies. This is not the prime site ebayers are flocking to but I know a lot of us will be if we support newcomers. In the end it only means more business for you. Not that you need it according to somersethedge.

Hello ellengenerous Yes for sure having a sellection of items accross the price range from less expensive to higher value is the way to, your thoughts about fb are sound in my honest opinion and buying/seller less expensive items is a great way to build fb and confidence.
I am sure when you get chance to read some other threads you will see there are some very positive eBidders with great ideas and advice, anyhow I wish you good luck and a warm welcome to eBid...

Thank you BLOXBOOKS! That is my goal and I know by May/June we will be seeing a lot of (new) sellers trying to establish a positive atmosphere and doing what they can to establish a customer trust factor.

If we were talking e-books to boost FB (yes, I know :-p) then I'd think manipulation. But when I came here nearly 2 years ago it was the done thing. I've gained a lot of regular customers that way- and a few regular sellers too!

ellengenerous, just calm down, if you looked at my comment it did have a big smiley at the end of it, as regards not needing business according to somersedge, also a tongue in cheek comment.
I know a lot of exBayers are feeling some pain moving here, but I think you will find eBidders many who have been here longer than me, more than supportive. So lighten up a bit.

ellengenerous,
Put a link to your store or eBid profile in the signature option of your forum account profile. Then we can find your items more easily. I don't think you have any items for sale in the USA. Nor can I find an eBid profile. Maybe it's just me.
