I knew it was strange when her family made no fuss about her being in care. I'd have screamed the place down if one of my children was not returned to me after being abducted.

Something I found disturbing was reading the Daily Mail (free with my Radio Times - I wouldn't buy it!) and agreeing with their columnist. All the kids look "as pale as veal" and the adults "like hell". Went on to say how deprived they all are. It just isn't life as I know it at all!

Hi,
The news up here has been full of this for days again.
Maybe they saw it as a way out, following the public donations to the Maddie money pot.The estate where they live is an infamous deprived hell hole.
If so what a terrible waste of west yorkshire police resources, when they are so over stretched to start with.
Regards,
Michaela

I thought that having 7 kids with 5 fathers was a bit OTT anyway. 3 of the children live with their fathers. It is very hard for fathers to get custody anyway... but 3 of them did which says the Courts and Social Workers knew something was amiss. It seems she was about to leave the porno pervert to live with the uncle who slashed his wrists in prison. No doubt to have baby #8 with father #6. I thought she was lying from the start, and my suspicions were raised even higher when she asked the McCanns for money to launch a search campaign.
The other one who makes me angry is the mother of that poor 15 year old murdered in Goa. She has umpteen kids by different fathers. My daughter asked the school if she could keep her 2 boys off school between Easter and half term... a matter of 4 days. It wasn't worth travelling back from Devon for 4 days. They were threatened with Court Action for unauthorised absence. Why was this woman allowed to take a 15 year old out of school for 6 months when she should have been working towards her exams? If she had been at school she would still be alive.

All i can say is.
"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""DISGUSTING"""""""""""""""""""""""""""""""
She should now have the rest of the kids taken off her.
Thats just my opinion

I wonder why I as a taxpayer have to pay for her 7 kids from the 5 fathers!

The BBC website says the mother's been charged now with perverting the course of justice and child neglect.

It said in The Sun (so it must be true ) that they got the idea off an episode of Shameless where they faked a kidnap of one of the kids.

It also said in there about the Maddie fund that they refused to give cash to them as they thought the police were doing a good enough search anyway - something like the biggest case since the Yorkshire Ripper and cost about £5m. They said they set up the Maddie Fund as they felt the Portuguese weren't doing enough.

Hi all,
Said on the local news this morning the police enquiry so far has cost one million pounds. Its the kids i feel sorry for.All the adults involved need the book throwing at them and they most likely will do.
