hello all , can anyone tell me if it is possible to check feedback so that you can read ONLY Possitive...or ONLY Negative...the same as on ebay...they have a dropdown menu that lets you choose....is there something similar on ebid.....this is just to save trawling thru loads of feedback to see what a seller has done wrong or right. ....

i only go by the lkast 10 - 15 transactions as sometimes things go wrong in rl and if the seller is doing things right the last 10 items sold / bought should be enough to tell me if all is ok

yes, you can check just negs - just under the heading "feedback listings" are a row of links.
I did it yesterday with someone and found some very unpleasant replies to his feedback!

As I'm in a transaction with this person, I'm saying nothing for the moment except that I reported the use of bad language in feedback to support.

well, how would they notice? They can't spend hours trawling through everyone's feedback and the replies to it.

papagran40 - wasn't aware that you could do this on e*ay anyway?? I know you can view just seller or buyer feedback - I agree that if things appear well for the last few transactions then fingers crossed it should stay that way!?

In my experience when things are reported action is taken very quickly. What you have to remember is that unlike the other web-site which has mega bucks and lots of staff; eBid has a staff of 3. Sor checking every posting/listing would be a physical impossibility.

Not feedback related, but Madelaine and I recently communicated about something. She reported the issue and got back to me within hours to let me know that appropriate action had been taken. Can't see that happen on the other site!!
I think it is unrealistic to expect Ebid staff to check everything that goes on on this site re feedback, forums, etc., but they do take swift action when a "problem" gets brought to their attention.

They will only do that if it gets reported!
The only feedback they remove automatically is negs from buyers who haven'r responded to unpaid item disputes and even that goes wrong sometimes.

If you look at the overall design of the site,G&M have geared it so that we, as users, assist in the running of it.The process of the faq page is a good example;only when no help has been forthcoming from posting a question on the forums will support staff respond. Thus cutting down their time spent on answering questions we can help with.
This assistance also applies to the reporting of listings that break the rules. If we can bring them to their attention then that eases their burden on looking for them.Giving them more time to sort out glitches etc that we can't deal with.
Even if you're not sure whether there is a breach,if it looks or feels wrong, report it.They have all the details & can then decide from the facts.
I have always felt that it isn't just the forum members that are the eBid community.Everyone who is a member of eBid,whether they be buyer, seller or just forum user is part of the whole community. As a member of any community we should all feel obliged to report any wrong-doing to the authorities. Those authorities here being G&M.

love the italians though....but might be as I am a star on a "long hair conditioning" forum ;)
but back down to earth......I think I might have landed myself in the hitlist...."my" feedback was... "excellent ebidder...find us at www.ebid.net - herbalbrew"
oops ,,,waiting for the "wrath of e~~y"
