Many people that are creative, whether it be Painting, ceramic, crafts have a perticular space they have the most creative thoughts and ideas in.
Myself it has always been either when I am soaking in a hot bubble bath with my music mix playing of classical, jazz, blues, to country, rapp and hard rock.
SO how about it? Where is your most creative space?

My settee - busy knitting away & watching tele at the same time.
The hot bath has another twist in this household. quite a few years ago now my eldest got stuck on his GCSE maths coursework. He asked me for help. My problem with maths and the sciences is that I did them in Holland in Dutch and the terminology is quite often unfamiliar. However, when looking at the textbooks I generally know what it's about. On this particular occasion he was really tense and didn't allow me some time to quietly look at the books before trying to help him; after about 2 hours I gave up and told him to go and talk to his teacher next morning. In the process I had become really tense and decided on a nice relaxing hot bath. I took his books with me and while I was lying there the solution to his problem became obvious. Jumped out of the bath, part dressed told him to get his pen and paper back out and how to do it. Up to this date, whenever either of my boys have a problem to which I don't see an instant solution I am told to go and have a bath.:o

For me it has to be the bedroom…. And no it’s not what you are thinking.
While the other half watches her soaps I disappear up there and lay on the bed and, depending on my mood, I might meditate or read or do any tarot readings etc I have to do. Peace and quite for an hour or so, No computer No human conversation…. Heaven

I don't think the bath would be conducive to creating a good watercolour painting :D

hmm, I was at theAberdeen Art Gallery the other week with the fiancee and to be honest some of the paintings there did look like they were done in the bath well more like accidentally dropped in one.

English, the name I have here was from way way back when I got on to the internet when we used telnet sessions not point and click browser stuff. It was my user name back then. My granddad is welsh and my mother said I should use Dai and Galean was just well something that we thought up to go with it. And since those days way back it has stuck..

Some where else I find it best when creating the graphics to tool into my items or when creating graphics for banners etc, Sitting at my computer at night (I love the night) with the headphones on in the dark. The outside world is quiet, no phones, no daytime noises. Just me, the music and my thoughts.

Computers and I go way back, to 1983 and my first, learning Basic programming...
Now that is where I create as well, when I write anyway. I have written quite a bit about on-line computer games so both playing them and writing about them all happens on the computer. I have written Fan Fiction, based on Anarchy Online, and news/interview pieces about other games as well for different sites. That is where my nick name came from, Abrii Doniger or AbriiD.
I'm also a night owl, don't do so well in the sun as it gives me massive head aches so I wear sun glasses no matter what.
